Formerly Out of Home Care
Out of Home care offers a safe and nurturing home to children who cannot live with their family and are under the Care and Protection Act of Territory Families. Our program operates under a family-home model, where, during their placement, children and young people join a family unit as if it were their own.

NT Friendship & Support work with local Aboriginal groups to ensure children and young people in care have ongoing opportunities to remain connected, engaged and aware of their culture.
Care is provided in family homes of assessed, trained and accredited foster or kinship carers.
Foster carers play a vital role in our community, providing a loving and supportive home environment to children and young people who cannot live with their birth family.
Kinship Care places the child or young person with carers who are recognised as having an existing relationship or connection through family, community, or country.

NT Friendship & Support is committed to improving the accessibility, flexibility and quality of life for children and young people placed in our care.

NT Friendship & Support understand the value of our carers and the role they play in helping children thrive. We provide a 24 hour service for carers to ensure they feel supported, and are providing the highest level of care to children and young people.
